The Archdiocese of Glasgow comprises 100 parishes reaching out beyond the city to Bearsden, Bishopbriggs, Clydebank, Cumbernauld and Dumbarton.
Parishes are arranged into 9 deaneries each consisting of 10 -12 parishes.
Within each parish there are families or group homes where there are learning disabled people.
SPRED offers the parishes the resources and training necessary to foster full inclusion in assemblies of worship.
It does this by forming small communities of faith within a parish/deanery. These faith groups then welcome children and adults who have a learning disability, providing them with an appropriate method of catechesis.
